91 - 2000 CHEVY 1 TON CONTROL ARMS
The 1991 - 2000 Chevy 1 ton trucks (OBS Body Style) have become a very popular truck to bag and make your own. We developed these arms to accommodate multiple variations of track width. The most popular choice is to do the 3/4 ton conversion hubs on these truck. In doing the 3/4 conversion your basically eliminating the large 1 ton snout and running a more narrowed hub. The benefit to doing this it allows for the control arms to be made longer and with longer control arms you will get better suspension travel and less camber change when the truck is cycling. There are 2 different options on the 3/4 ton converted arms. 2 inches extended or 3 inches extended. Most customers running semi wheels with adapters will go with the 2 inch extended arms. Customers that are running direct bolt on semi style wheels will do the 3 inch extended arms.
The other option of control arms we offer are more of a stock style control arm setup. They are designed to narrow the factory suspension 1 inch per side while retaining the stock 1 ton hubs. These arms are a shorter version that will have a little more camber change throughout the suspension travel.
All 3 style of control arms we offer are designed to drive the truck low and help with the camber and correct ball joint angles as well as center the wheels in the wheel well.
